Exercise is a cornerstone of recovery and long-term health for conditions such as stroke, MS and Parkinson’s offering significant benefits for both the brain and body. With specific training and coaching we can work to manage side effects and improve mobility, movement and independence. Instructor guided consistent training will support you through drills and exercises to work to improve balance, gait and movement. You will be learning how to exercise and work with the functionality you have and work to strengthen muscles to enhance what you’ve already got. As well as the physical movements, coaching in motivational goals-setting will help keep you on track and work towards what is important to you. A minimum of 8 weeks is likely needed in order to show improvements, working on 2-3 sessions a week. Building neuroplasticity is all about consistency.

Yes. A lot of people struggle with balance and it is definitely something that can be explored. Using specific workouts and exercises to help your proprioception (spacial awareness) and build your stabalizing muscles, we can put a plan together to help your balance and confidence in your movements.
Yes, I offer In-person visits to people in a 30 minute readius of Bedale. Sessions can be adapted to your home settings and your ability/fitness level.
